Spring craft season is here!

Spring is almost here!For those of us who live in parts of the country or world that experience the cold, the wind and the snow, Spring is always a relief.!The temperatures are warming, flowers are emerging , more sunlight and of course its time for Spring decor!

I don’t know about you, but once Christmas is over, I am thrilled to be working on Valentine’s, St Patrick’s Day, Easter and of course Spring decor. My paintings and multimeida pieces tend to shift towards more vibrant colors after the cold, dark months of December and January. But the most exciting of all-SPRING CRAFT SHOWS!

I am booked for 5 shows between now and June 1st-with the possibility of a few nights at a local Farmers Market. Each one of these events provides me not only an opportunity to sell my arts and crafts but also to get out and connect with the local community. I have met wondeful artisans, been inspired by other crafters, and have sold to a diverse customer base. I love getting the chance to explain my art or tell someone how I made it or what products I used. Some of my best conversations have been with teenage and younger artists discussing our craft and bouncing ideas off of each other. Most artists and vendors are friendly and love to chat during the slow times, and yes, I have had a few neighbors who were not particularly nice or made the atmosphere competitive. You will always run into someone who isn’t going to be friendly, but never let that ruin your experience. To me,craft/art shows are about community engagement, inspiration from your peers, and making some sales along the way! With that- I hope to see some of you at Hershey High School on 3/29.
