First of all, my first craft show of 2025 is in the books! It was mildly successful, I made some sales and a profit, but the turnout seemed lower than expected. My theories are #1- It was an 82 degree day in March. People spent the day outside or home working on their yards. #2- People are simply spending less money. I get it- the economy is up and down and art is not a necessity. Which is why I am 100% grateful to everyone who chooses to purchase something from me! There is a very special feeling when someone chooses to buy something you have handmade , its quite an honor! I have another show coming up on 4/12- hopefully foot traffic will pick up!
But back to the original point of this post- making things happen! For those of you who read my 50 before 50 list- one of my goals is to teach classes. I decided to dive in head first and create an event! I am hosting a create a multimedia piece on 5/17/25 @ the Madeline Olewine Library in Harrisburg. This is not a paint and sip or a class that shows everyone how to make the same piece. This event is two hours of creative expression. I will guide you with my knowledge. I will be there to assist with any questions you have. Attendees will have full access to an array of supplies and will leave the end of the session with a completed piece. Sounds cool, right? Well, if you interested or know someone who is-pass it along! I can’t wait to create with you:)
